One of the hottest brunch spots in town, from hitmakers Major Food Group who continue to dominate the Magic City’s culinary scene. The popular all-day dining spot serves a brunch-centric menu with items like epic bagel towers, chopped salads, sliced-to-order salmon, caviar service, a large selection of raw seafood, the famous Sadelle’s Burger, a spicy chicken sandwich, and the restaurant’s first-ever pizzas to the menu.

3015 Grand Ave #122, Coconut Grove

The El Bagel location in the Grove, with just five stools and a small counter by the window, is pretty much a take-out spot, but you can always walk over to Peacock Park and let the salty breeze wash over you and your bagel or bagel sandwich. Recommendations include the king guava and a BEC on a salted bagel. This location has a line out the door on weekends. And you can’t pre-order your bagels online. So get there early and plan accordingly.

3213 Grand Ave, Coconut Grove

Navi is a coffee and flower shop that recently opened in Coconut Grove. The idea was to build a coffee shop where people could sit outside and share a cup of coffee, taking inspiration from New York and European front-porch culture. Inside, guests have two standing spaces by the windows where they can enjoy the coffee, but outside there are more chairs and a small side garden to sit in and enjoy. Navi works with two sisters based in Miami who provide fresh baked goods every morning.

Emissary as a coffee shop serving matcha, espresso, and other seasonal beverages. They also have sandwiches, salads, and pastries from an excellent bakery in Key Biscayne called Flour & Weirdoughs.

3444 Main Hwy, Coconut Grove

Midorie is a casual Coconut Grove sushi spot. This simple sushi counter is hidden in the little courtyard on Main Highway. Come here for high-quality sushi and not spend more than $25 on a filling donburi bowl. The handrolls are also excellent. Their nigiri omakase is $100 but it's worth it considering the quality of the fish.

OMAKAI has been leading the omakase craze since before the pandemic surge, offering casual, high-quality sushi without the frills to a devoted following. There are three omakase options to choose from, but the OMA Deluxe is the best deal. For $50, you get an appetizer, ten pieces of nigiri, and two handrolls. And during lunch, it’s eight pieces of nigiri for $45. You can also order a la carte if you prefer.

Known as one of Miami’s best Indian restaurants, Bombay Darbar’s menu items are nothing if not rich and savory. Visitors can opt for choices like mango curry chicken and traditional Indian dishes such as chicken tikka masala, vegetable samosas, lamb vindaloo, and more.

The low-key spot serves everything from pad Thai to chicken satay to a bevy of different curries. And for those who dare — and love spice — check out the Tiger Tears salad, filled with steak made with a mega kick.

This hip, eco-friendly restaurant by Matthew Kuscher stays true to its “local” name by serving up a variety of burgers, sandwiches, and brews all made with locally sourced sustainable ingredients, plus some of the best sweet potato fries in town.

The pandemic turned Fuller Street into a pedestrian-only thoroughfare, Barracuda's enjoys the perks of being the only bar on it. Once an indoor-only joint, this nautical-themed dive now has a sprawling outdoor patio, inviting just about anyone to camp out at a brightly-hued picnic table, order a few casual pitchers and just stay for a while.

A nearly identical replica of its South Beach predecessor, Bodega’s not-so-secret second-floor speakeasy is accessible through a port-o-potty door and offers all the makings of a fun night out: free-flowing margaritas, bottle service, DJs with party-party music.

Bodega also touts a sultry mezcaleria, where smoky spirits are presented in theatrical form. It’s a great place to discover rare mezcals, tequilas and other agave-based spirits, so we suggest getting yourself a flight to find what you like.

With two dozen TVs mounted throughout (including the front porch), Sandbar is where you go to root for your home team—especially if you’re a Dolphins, Heat or ‘Canes fan. It’s a locals’ spot through and through, serving better-than-average bar food (people love the fish tacos), cheap beer and Hurricane-themed drinks (happy hour runs from 3 to 7pm on weekdays). On Thursdays, University of Miami students pack the place for ladies' night. Don’t leave without a photo on the iconic lifeguard stand.

South Pointe Park is a beautiful green space at the southern tip of Miami Beach. It offers stunning panoramic views of the South Beach shoreline, PortMiami’s cruise ships, Downtown Miami’s skyline and Fisher Island. The park has direct access to the beach as well as walking trails, picnic and barbecue areas, benches, a cafe and an off-leash bark park.

David T. Kennedy is a charming waterfront park in Coconut Grove with walking/cycling trails, a dog park, outdoor fitness equipment, volleyball courts and the Instagrammable “Miami”-etched benches that face Biscayne Bay.

After a scenic workout or some leisurely dog- and people-watching, cool down with a frozen lemonade from the A.C.’s Icees truck, which has had a permanent spot in the parking lot for more than four decades.

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens has been a Miami landmark for more than 100 years. Visitors from all over the world travel to Vizcaya to admire its gorgeous architecture and lush gardens. A popular photoshoot and film location, you might recognize it from various movies and television shows, including Bad Boys II and Iron Man 3.

The Miami Design District is a creative neighborhood with unmatched access to world-class dining, shopping, art, events, and inspiration. The district is rooted in retail and includes more than 170 brands, including flagship stores for Chanel, Balenciaga, Hermès, Fendi, Dior, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, and more – making it the ultimate destination for fashion fanatics. There are also plenty of delicious restaurants in the district, including Cote Miami, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, and Le Jardinier.

1100 NW 23rd St, Miami

Don and Mera Rubell’s eponymous museum houses over 7,700 works by more than 1,000 contemporary artists. From Basquiat and Warhol to Koons, the whos-who of 20th-century artists is well represented.

Everglades National Park, just a short drive from Miami, protects one of Florida's most unique natural features. These swamplands, covering about 1.5 million acres, are home to alligators, crocodiles, snakes and all kinds of birds. This whole area is essentially a shallow river flowing out to the ocean. Within the park you'll find the informative Visitors Center, as well as walking trails and boardwalks for wildlife viewing. One of the most enjoyable ways for tourists to experience the Everglades is on an airboat tour. These high-speed boat trips take visitors out into the marshes and streams to see some South Florida wildlife up close. There are several airboat tour operators in the area that are located just outside the official park.

Little Havana—the heart of Miami’s Cuban diaspora—is part of what makes Miami such a dynamic cultural destination. The neighborhood is centered around Calle Ocho (Southwest Eighth Street), a vibrant thoroughfare lined with Latin-inspired restaurants, bakeries, fruit stands, cigar shops, rum bars, art galleries and music venues. It’s also where you’ll find the famed Máximo Gómez Park (known as Domino Park),where locals gather to talk politics over heated games of dominoes.

The best way to get around Miami is by car. Uber and Lyft are both popular methods of transportation. Multiple taxi companies also operate within Miami. Rental cars are an option, but please keep in mind that parking is limited in many areas of the city.
